“When I graduated from Texas A&M, I had considered going to law school, but instead felt driven to get a job and start working. By the time I’d spent a decade working as a production manager in the pharmaceutical industry, I was bored and not impassioned about my career. I also went through a divorce and after relocating to New Braunfels was selected to serve on a grand jury. At that point, I took a hard look at myself and realized I needed to decide on a fulfilling career path. The combination of divorce and my fascination with the grand jury service rekindled my interest and pointed me in the direction of law.”
While going to law school, from 2001 to 2002, Tracy worked as a law clerk assisting law firm partners and their associate attorneys in criminal defense work at the state and federal levels. She drafted motions and briefs, conducted legal research, drafted memorandums of law, reviewed video or audio recording evidence, and transcribed or summarized content, filed pleadings with the court and provided general support to paralegals for the attorneys. Working in the trenches of a law firm provided a solid foundation for segueing into practice as an attorney.
Tracy’s hobbies include reading, walking, jogging, cooking and traveling.
