Kory has extensive experience with over twenty-five years of practicing law; retaining clients in over 50 counties across Texas and handling numerous jury and bench trials. He manages divorces, complex cases, high-value assets, child custody, parental terminations, protective orders, appeals, and writs.
Earlier in his career, Kory built extensive experience representing clients in complex litigation, ranging from real estate and construction to insurance coverage, intellectual property, and personal injury. Additionally, he handled cases involving wrongful death, premises liability, and civil rights. Over time, his client base expanded to include Fortune 500 companies in state and federal courts, as well as smaller businesses, municipalities, and law enforcement agencies involved in civil litigation. Kory has led teams of lawyers while also conducting hundreds of depositions. Furthermore, he has managed cases involving millions of pages of documents and overseen the forensic analysis of computer systems.
In 2014, personal tragedy and injustice revealed Kory’s true calling. During a custody battle, Kory was wrongfully targeted by CPS following false accusations, which led to his son and daughter spending over eight months in foster care. As he worked to clear his name, he began uncovering widespread CPS corruption, including the use of false affidavits, acts of perjury, and evidence tampering. Outraged, he left his role at a national litigation firm to reunite his children and fight CPS corruption. After winning his case, Kory committed his practice to protecting children and families with the same passion that brought his own kids home.
Kory received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California at Los Angeles in 1994. While attending UCLA, he interned at the United States Senate Subcommittee on Investigations under retired Senator Sam Nunn, who was the Chairman of the Armed Services Committee. Mr. Booth transitioned to law school immediately following graduation, and earned his Juris Doctor a semester early at the University of Denver College of Law in 1996.
When not championing justice, Kory enjoys time with his wife Dana and their five active kids. A former wrestler, he earned three state silver medals and a Junior Olympics bronze before college. Kory also declined a half-ride football scholarship so that he could focus on his studies leading to his law degree. These days Kory enjoys involvement in church, long distance running, playing chess, photography and seeking to master the art of cooking and Texas barbecue.
